Why the turnover is the weak link
In Agadir, Taghazout and Tamraght, the season lives on reviews. An average stay runs 2–5 nights: every departure triggers a turnover, and a sloppy turnover costs more than it seems — a lower rating, a cancelled next booking, a recovery clean. The simple rule: a turnover is not a quick clean, it is a 4-stage process.
The 4 stages of a clean turnover
- Before the next guests arrive: cleaning must finish before 3 pm for a standard check-in. If the morning checkout runs late, a same-day turnover must be confirmed before 11 am.
- A full clean, not a partial one: bathroom disinfected (not just “rinsed”), kitchen degreased, floors washed, under the beds, top of the wardrobes. Guests check three things on entry: the bathroom, the sheets, the kitchen.
- Linen changed completely: sheets, pillowcases, bath towels, bath mats. Musty-smelling linen in Taghazout (sea humidity) is the #1 driver of bad reviews. Dry fully before folding.
- The 25-point check: consumables (paper, soap, bin bags), working equipment (coffee maker, wifi, AC), nothing left behind by previous guests, nothing broken.
The “ready to host” photo
This is the standard that protects the absent host: after every turnover, photos of each room are sent on WhatsApp before check-in time. You approve from afar — you never find out through a 3-star review. The photo standard is included in our turnovers, not an option.
When stays stack up
- Back-to-back turnovers: in Taghazout and Tamraght, we schedule turnovers with the team closest to the property (usually within 35 minutes) to hold tight slots.
- A monthly deep clean on top of turnovers: under furniture, windows, bathroom joints. This is what prevents the slow drift guests notice.
- Linen: either the host provides two full sets per bed, or we handle the change. Count it every turnover — a missing pillowcase shows.
What the absent host should check weekly
A photo report after every turnover, an immediate alert for damage or left-behind items, and a consumables count at the end of the week. That is the minimum to manage a property 3,000 km away without surprises. The full scope is on the Airbnb concierge page.
